Asparagus Fern

Densiflorus

Description

Asparagus Fern is not in fact a fern but closely related to the common edible asparagus.

A few of the most popular cultivars are Sprengeri and Myersii, or Foxtail Fern. This plant is distinguished by the dense, shiny green, needle-like foliage displayed on arching stems. It gets small white summer flowers and bright red berries in fall. Commonly used in mixed containers and hanging baskets and makes a great house plant. Zones 9-11
