Bambino Alocasia

Alocasia Amazonica Bambino

Description

Alocasia Amazonica (Bambino) is a striking house plant that features long arrowhead leaves with incredible white veining to contrast the almost black foliage. This dwarf variety will only reach are a foot tall and wide. Like most Alocasia's, the Bambino does best in a high humidity situation. Either place this next to your humidifier, or in a bright bathroom. Keep it out of the direct light to prevent burning the beautiful leaves, but it does need bright light. Let the top few inches of soil dry out before watering this plant, however be sure to never let it go completely dry. Fertilize this plant once a month while it is actively growing.

If all the leaves drop off your plant, DONT give up. This plant will go into dormancy but is still alive. Keep watering your Alocasia when the top few inches of soil dry out and most likely it will break dormancy after a certain time. Do not fertilize while it is sleeping.
