Description

'Sunjoy' is a series of Japanese Barberry that is prized for its vibrant colors, low maintenance needs and disease resistance. It is a deciduous shrub that requires little to no pruning. Plant in full sun for optimal foliage color. Highly adaptable to various soil types but must be well-drained. Drought tolerant once established.  Varieties we typically carry are:

  • Citrus - bright yellow foliage on a compact, globose shrub. Height and width 2-3'.
  • Gold Pillar - bright green foliage turns to orange-red in fall. Height 4', width 2'.
  • Mini Maroon - deep purple-red foliage on a dense, rounded mound. Height and width 2-3'.
  • Todo - compact form with glossy, deep burgundy black foliage throughout the season, producing orangish-yellow berries in fall. Height and width 18-24".
  •  Neo - vivid orange foliage in a rounded, compact habit. Height 2.5', width 2.5'
