Description

Basil is an annual herb of the mint family, grown for it's aromatic leaves. There are many varieties with various flavors and all are warm-season, sun loving annuals. It is one of the most popular and easy to grow garden herbs. Often used in sauces, pesto sauce, and as a flavoring agent for oils, vinegars and teas. Most varieties have a sweet, pungent, and slightly spicy flavor. Zones 10-11
