Cherry, Akebono Flowering

Prunus x yedoensis 'Akebono'

Description

A cultivar of the 'Yoshino', the 'Akebono' Flowering Cherry tree is a spring delight!  As it awakens from its winter slumber, a profusion of slightly fragrant, soft pink, semi-double blossoms emerge and gradually fade to white.  Glossy, dark green, serrated leaves turn orange-yellow in the fall. Excellent choice for lawns or as a specimen plant. Good disease resistance.
