Cherry, Sweetheart

Prunus avium 'Sweetheart'

Description

In comparison to others, Sweetheart Cherry produces sweet, bright red fruit late in the season (late summer). While self-fertile, it can be used as a pollinizer for other early-blooming cherries. It is perfect for fresh eating, freezing, and canning. Needs well-drained, loamy, fertile soil. Good disease resistance, particularly brown rot.
