Clematis jackmanii 'Superba One of the most popular clematis vines. Jackmanii suberba has large showy violet-purple blooms that cover the vine most of the growing season. This is a new and improved variety of the original Jackmanii.

Prune this vine in late winter before the new growth emerges in spring. You can cut this vine back to 6 inches from the ground, above a set of buds, to help keep the it looking fresh year after year.
