Crabapple, Raspberry Spear

Malus 'Raspberry Spear'

Description

This crabapple, with its columnar growth habit, makes an excellent choice for small spaces with year-round interest. In spring, the deep pink buds open to bright magenta flowers. Foliage is dark purple, bronzing on the older leaves in late summer and early fall when orange tints appear. Purple-red fruits ripen to deep bright red, continuing into late autumn to early winter.
