Currant, Black Consort


Description

Prized for its rich, sweet-tart, musky fruits, 'Black Consort' Currant grows in clusters that ripen in late summer. Currants are exceptionally high in Vitamin C and antioxidants and are ideal for making jams, wines, or fruit liqueurs. Other benefits: self-pollinating, shade tolerant, cold/disease resistant, and compact for small gardens.  Produces high yields in June-July.
