Description
Speciosa Lobelias are hybrids of L. cardinalis x L. fulgens x L. siphilitica . These lobelias generally have the hardier characteristics of cardinalis and sphilitica and some of the foliage characteristics of L. fulgen. There are many very nice selections with flowers that range in color from bright blue to brilliant reds to a beautiful salmon with foliage often accented in burgundy, purple or red. Irresistible to humming birds. Most grow 18'' to 36'' tall and 12'' wide. Grow in full sun to filtered sun in moist soil to water 3'' deep. Zone 4 - 6 and up depending on selection.
