Fir, Concolor or White

Abies concolor

Description

White Fir, also known as Concolor Fir, is a native North American evergreen. This hardy conifer is also ornamental with its attractive, blue-green needles which curve out and up on branches. Interesting to know, when the needles are crushed, they emit a lovely lemony scent. This excellent conifer tolerates a wide range of conditions, including drought, heat and cold temperatures.

It can handle alkaline soil, but is not salt tolerant.
