Hellebore

Helleborus x glandorfensis

Description

This is a great perennial option for color in a shady, winter garden. In addition to the early blooms, Hellebore features large, almost tropical looking, evergreen leaves. We typically carry a huge selection of hellebores, including but not limited to:

Frostkiss:

  • Lenten Rose - larger blossoms in dark pinks, blushes, or purple color; emerge closer to spring than winter.

Gold Collection:

  • Camelot Snow Rose - soft cream blooms that fade to a nice copper shade. This snow rose may be able to handle more sun that other varieties as long as it receives protection from the hot afternoon summer sun.

  • Diva Christmas Rose - snow white blossoms from November to well into spring when planted in the landscape. Its shorter stature and abundance in flowers makes this a wonderful  holiday addition to loved one's grave sides.

  • Ice N Roses - all-around stand out, introducing more purples and raspberry color schemes. More tolerant of a sunny spot. (Given it gets protection from harsh afternoon sun).

  • Ivory Prince - white flowers that emerge from a deep pink bud. Blooming occurs in very early spring before the rest of the garden has awakened.

  • Jesko Christmas Rose - large white blossoms that emerge early in winter and blossom through spring. This variety is compact and easy to grow

  • Mahogany Snow Rose - white flowers with beautiful pink backsides. Starts blooming as early as January and lasting into March.

  • Merlin Lenten Rose - nice pink flowers on plum-colored stems and showy veining evergreen foliage.

  • Rosemary Walhero - features a bright and cheerful pink flower from winter to spring.

Winter Jewel Collection:

  • Cherry Blossom Lenten Rose - double to semi-double pink flowers with red centers.

  • Cotton Candy Lenten Rose - stunning double pink flowers with darker red veining and edges. Blooms emerge in early spring and persist through late spring.

  • Slate Double Lenten Rose - large double blooms that appear NEARLY BLACK. Can you imagine the beautiful black blooms with a dusting of snow in your landscape?

  • Sparkling Diamond - features very large, double, cup shaped white blossoms. It blooms heavily from late winter into early spring.
