Description
One of the first flowers to bloom in the spring it prefers cooler temperatures. It will take full sun in summer but may experience some die back if allowed to get too hot but will easily recover the following spring. Its beautiful yellow flowers are always a welcome site after a long cold winter. Takes seasonal flooding with water 5'' deep but grows best in saturated soil. 8-12'' tall and equal with. Zone 3 may go dormant in summer. 'polypetala' is a larger and more robust variety.
