Description

Asclepias (milk weed, showy milkweed, butterfly weed) are beautiful perennials with showy flowers that are indispensable to butterflies! Without milkweed the Monarch butterfly population cannot reproduce making this an essential plant for your butterfly garden. There are several varieties of milk weed but the main ones we offer are as follows:

Showy milk weed- Asclepias speciosa, Large balls of funky pink and white flowers that bloom June-September and prefers full sun. Usually stays 2-4ft tall. (native to UT)

Butterfly weed- Asclepias tuberosa, Flat topped clusters of bright orange flowers that bloom May-September. Full sun, drought tolerant 1-2ft tall (native to UT)

Swamp milkweed- Asclepias incarnata, Large round pink clusters of blossoms June-October prefers moist soil and full sun 2-5ft tall (native to UT)
