Peppers

Capsicum

Description

It is estimated that there are over 50,000 types of peppers in the world. While we don't carry that many, we do have an extensive selection of pepper starts available for you to grow your own. We are getting deliveries of new varieties every week through the planting season, the rotation of what is in stock changes quickly, but we have the most popular "go to"s as well as some really unique and delicious varieties you might not have heard of before.

Peppers are a warm season crop that do best in well-draining soil. They need at least 6 hours of sunlight during the day and prefer to be watered very deeply, less frequently to help the root system grow deeper into the soil. Don't let them get so dry they wilt, but do let them dry out between waterings as it is the best way to help the plant thrive and therefore they will produce the best quality fruit.
