Ranunculus

Ranunculus asiatucus

Description

Ranunculus asiaticus, the Persian buttercup, are renowned for their showy flowers, reminiscent of roses and peonies, with their densely layered petals. They are commonly used in borders, pots and containers. They come in an array of colors and are a favorite for flower arrangements and bouquets due to their long vase life. They are cool weather plants that need lots of bright light. Because they do not tolerate extreme summer heat, they are treated as an annual. Zones 8-10
