Description
'Don Egolf' is a Chinese redbud, which has larger flowers, glossier leaves, longer seed pods, shorter maturity height, generally less attractive fall color, and is not as cold hardy as the eastern redbuds. This variety grows best in full to part shade, and thrives in fertile soils with consistent moisture. Excellent choice as a specimen plant. Received the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
