Redbud, Pink Pom Poms

Cercis canadensis 'pink pom poms'

Description

A truly seedless Redbud. The Pink Pom Poms is a sterile tree, so it will not produce seedpods. It will produce a profusion of unique, fully double, pink flowers cover the bare branches in spring. The foliage will be large, bright, glossy green, heart-shaped leaves which turn brilliant yellow in Autumn.

A wonderful option for a smaller space, filled with color all season long.

This hybrid of double-flowered C. canadensis ‘Flame’ and C. texensis ‘Oklahoma’ was developed at North Carolina State University by Dr. Dennis Werner.
