Description

British rose breeder David Austin always loved the charm and beauty of antique roses but realized they lacked the fragrance, color variety and repeat-blooming qualities of the modern hybrid tea roses. In the 1950's he set out to create "the perfect rose" by crossing the two and in 1961...voila! a new, well sought-after rose collection was born. 

David Austin Roses have dense, cup-shaped blossoms with a rich fragrance. They are reliable repeat-bloomers with improved disease resistance and are drought tolerant once established. The collection includes a wide range of colors and growth habits, including but not limited to:

Bathsheba (climbing) - apricot-yellow buds open to beautiful apricot-pink and soft yellow blooms with a floral myrrh fragrance
