Asclepias tuberosa

Description

The beautiful late summer flowers are only one reason to grow this native perennial.  Asclepias is irresistible to bees and humming birds and is a staple for the monarch butterfly. Grow this very hardy plant in moist soil to water 5'' deep in full sun.  24'' - 36'' tall and may reseed a little. Flowers range in color from light pink to rose to white. 'Ice Ballet' is a pure white variety. 'Cinderella' is a very nice deep pink variety. Zone 3
