Sweetspire, Scentlandia

Itea virginica 'SMNIVDFC' PP30,233

Description

Sweetspires (Itea virginica) are in a class by themselves when it comes to versatility, season to season color display, and manageable size. Very few other flowering shrubs fit the bill in multiple ways, but the Sweetspire dominates!

'Scentlandia Sweetspire' is the most fragrant of all Sweetspires, producing longer, larger flower buds. It is also more cold and shade tolerant than other varieties. Glossy green leaves turn red-purple in fall.
