Vermiculite
Description
A naturally occurring aluminum-silicate material used as a soil amendment to help aerate soil while simultaneously retaining water and nutrients. Neutral pH, can be added to a seed-starting mix to keep seeds moist and assist with germination. Because it has a greater water-holding capacity than perlite, it should only be used for plants that thrive in moist soil like hydrangeas and ferns.- Form
