Description

Known for its brightly-colored, trumpet-shaped blossoms, Zauschneria is truly a hummingbird's delight!  Varieties vary significantly in size and growth habit. For example, 'Orange Carpet' makes an attractive groundcover that grows just 4-6" tall and can spread up to 20", whereas 'Fire Chalice' is more upright and reaches 3' in height. Does best in slightly alkaline to neutral soil but must have good drainage to thrive. Drought resistant once established. Does well in secondary water.
